Sonia Verma Bhattacharyya, founder of Born to Blossom Soul Awakening

Founder’s journey

Meet Sonia Verma Bhattacharyya

Founder & Practitioner · Gurgaon, India

I did not find healing. I built it — one healed wound, one breakthrough, one student at a time.

The founder of Born to Blossom Soul Awakening is many things: a healer, a teacher, an innovator, a devotee, a wife, and a woman who refused to stop asking the deepest question — Who am I, beneath all of this?

Her journey into healing began not in a classroom but in the quiet desperation that sometimes precedes the most profound transformations. Based in Gurgaon, she walks beside you — not above you — as a guide who has already entered the territory you are about to explore, holding a lamp for your path.

The path

A Journey of a Thousand Awakenings

She grew up in India, steeped in the rich spiritual culture that is the inheritance of every Indian soul — the bhajans at dawn, the wisdom of elders, the unspoken transmission of ancient knowing. And yet, like so many modern women, she found herself in adulthood caught between the calls of family, ambition, expectation, and a nameless longing she could not yet name.

It was this longing that led her, step by step, into the world of energy healing. What began as curiosity became commitment. What began as personal healing became professional calling. Over the years, she accumulated certifications across Reiki (including Reiki Mastership), ThetaHealing–influenced practice, NLP, Family Constellation, Somatic Healing, Sound Healing, Bach Flower Therapy, Access Bars, Lama Fera, EFT, Shamanic Healing, and more.

But more than the certifications, she accumulated something rarer: direct, lived, embodied experience of what it means to heal.

Original contributions

Humkaara & Hleem

Two original modalities developed by Sonia — born from lived practice, not textbooks — and now taught to practitioners across India.

Original modality

The Birth of Humkaara

Humkaara — meaning the primordial cosmic vibration, the sound at the root of creation — emerged during Sonia’s own deep meditation practice as a healing transmission that moved through sound, breath, and sacred intent. Over years of refining and testing this work with willing clients, Humkaara became a full, replicable healing modality: one that uses sacred sound activation to unlock energetic blockages at their deepest root. Humkaara is now taught to practitioners as a certified offering, and its effects have been described by clients as “like being rewired at the source code.”

Original modality

The Birth of Hleem

Hleem — the bija (seed) mantra of the sacred feminine — became the foundation for the second original modality. Born from Sonia’s own journey of feminine healing and her devotion to the Mahavidyas and Shakta Tantric tradition, Hleem is designed specifically for the reclamation of feminine power, creativity, and divinity. It works on the energetic body’s feminine circuits, the womb space, the creative centre, and the relationship one holds with the divine feminine within. Hleem is offered as both a healing session and a practitioner certification.

Shakta path

Her Devotional Path

Beneath the professional credentials lies a deeply rooted devotional practice. She walks the path of Shakta Tantra, holding Baglamukhi Devi, Kali Ma, Hanuman Ji, and Neem Karoli Baba as her guiding lights. Her sadhana — her daily spiritual practice — is not separate from her healing work; it is the source of it.

Every session she facilitates is preceded by prayer, energetic preparation, and an invocation of the highest healing intelligence. This roots her work in something that no training alone can produce: genuine transmission. When you sit across from her — whether in person in Gurgaon or online — you are not just receiving technique. You are receiving the accumulated spiritual merit of a practitioner who shows up, day after day, in sacred devotion to this work and to the beings she serves.

Looking ahead

Her Vision

Her vision for Born to Blossom Soul Awakening extends beyond individual sessions. She envisions a world where healing is not remedial but prophylactic — where children grow up learning to process emotions healthily, where workplaces embed wellness into their culture, and where the conversation about mental and spiritual health in India is both accessible and unstigmatised.

She works toward this vision through corporate programmes, school outreach, teacher training, and the growing community she nurtures with devotion and discipline.
